Agaia Patch 1.2.2

Welcome to Agaia Online Patch 1.2.2! This patch serves as a follow up to our previous patch and will focus mainly on classes & talismans adjustments and PvP content refresh.

Class Changes

In our previous patch, we adjusted various talismans and released two new ones for each class, to smooth up currently existing playstyle and open up new talisman builds. We also mentioned that some classes would have need some extra talismans to make these new builds more viable. In this patch we are going to adjust various existing talismans, release two new ones (again!), apply some qol adjustments and get the gap between playstyles closer to each other. We are also going to apply some nerfs to the currently top performing classes, as with the last patch their DPS got quite a bit out of control.

All Classes

We got various feedbacks about the RNG damage boost applied by some skills advanced being very frustrating to play around, as some of them are for main skills. We decided to take a big swing about this and completely removed the RNG aspect of them.

  • All the RNG damage procs provided by skills advanced are now guaranteed. Their damage has been adjusted accordingly.

Archer

Archer was one of the classes that we mentioned it would have need two more talismans to have the Rapid Fire focused playstyle more viable, and the time has finally arrived! We also adjusted some talismans which were not really seeing any usage. On top of that, we noticed the class has been lagging behind the average recently, but instead of buffing its damage, we are going to apply a little adjustment to Windsong, which should also allow a better usage of CDR top roll for who would prefer it over Enrage top, and make Quickfire stacks ramp up faster.

Core Gameplay

Windsong

  • Fixed an issue where the skill would increase Movement Speed by 10% rather than increasing Attack Speed
  • It now also resets and reduces cooldown of Incendiary Trap Arrow

Safe Space (Passive)

  • Fixed an issue where the passive would be displayed in passives list as an empty slot

Talismans

Quickfire

  • Increased stacks duration from 10 seconds to 15
  • Increased damage per stack from 0.4% to 0.8%
  • Reduced maximum stacks from 300 to 150

Deadeye Focus

  • Now also decreases trap range by 25%, increases trap AoE by 40% and casting speed by 20%
  • Increased crit chance from 40% to 100%
  • Reduced damage from 200% to 180%

Adaptive Strategy

  • The HP consumption has been halved
  • The weapon now grows bigger while charging
  • Increased overcharge modifier from 25% to 35%

Piercing Wind

  • Now also increases charge speed of Radiant Arrow by 25%
  • The effect can also be triggered by Incendiary Trap Arrow

Demon Sniper

  • Now also reduces Regular Rapid Fire cooldown by 1 second on successful hit of Wind Walk
    • This effect does not apply during Windsong

Storm of Arrows

  • Fixed an issue where the RE recovery was delayed

[NEW] Strong Wind

  • Windsong duration increased by 23%. During Windsong, increases damage of Rapid Fire by 70%. This talisman effect does not stack with Quickfire

[NEW] Replenishing Bolt

  • Thunderbolt damage increased by 20%. A successful hit of Thunderbolt restores 150 RE and resets cooldown of Rapid Fire and Sequential Fire. This talisman effect does not stack with Storm of Arrows

Berserker

Regarding Berserker, we are going to FINALLY bring the so long waited alternative Unleash playstyle. This took our dev team a lot of work and we hope for it to feel as good and smooth as possible! For the Unleash enjoyers, we brought an additional talisman to not force them to use the alternative variant. We also brought some adjustments to Iron Pact and Cleave Drive, to make these two talismans feel not a must use and easily be replaceable with others. Additionally, we dediced to disable Evasive Smash resets while using Counterforce, as they yield to a way too high damage boost in long fights; this might be a nerf for the most part, but our goal is to bring Berserker to a more healthy / less RNG reliant state. As last, we adjusted slightly Berserker Tank fiery rage party buff, to feel less punishing and more appealing.

Core Gameplay

Fiery Rage (Intimidation)

  • No longer reduces party members endurance by 10%
  • Now increases party members base power by an additional 10%, up to 25%

Evasive Smash (Reload EP)

  • This effect no longer triggers while having Counterforce stacks

Talismans

Overcharged Blow

  • Fixed an issue where the talisman effect had an unnecessary cooldown

Shatterline

  • The Cyclone damage malus has been reduces from -25% to -5%

Iron Pact

  • The damage boost provided has been reduced from 10% to 4.5%
    • As conseguence, Berserker class base damage has been increased by 5.5%
      • Note: this means your damage will remain unchange if you use this talisman, but players not using it will receive a buff

Cleave Drive

  • The damage boost provided has been reduced from 30% to 25%
    • As conseguence, Berserker class has been increased by 5%
      • Note: this means your damage will remain uchange if you use this talisman, but players not using it will receive a buff

[NEW] Long Forgotten Dream

  • Unleash cast speed increased by 50%. Gain the "Rage Unbound" buff rather than Unleash. Rage Unbound increases attack speed by 25%, skills charge speed by 40%, reduces skills cooldowns by 20%, increases skill damage by 5% and resets Cyclone cooldown on cast. During Rage Unbound, Thunderstrike and Cyclone are enhanced and can be overcharged two additional times with increased HP cost and overcharge damage by 25%. Your weapon grows bigger while charging. Lethal Strike damage increased by 35% and cooldown reduced by 50%. Cyclone reset chance is doubled.

[NEW] Ramping Force

  • Unleash cast speed increased by 50%. Unleash provides an additional 20% attack speed and increases damage of Rampage and Beast Fury by respectively 20% and 10%

Brawler

After the fixes to the tank talismans applied last patch, Brawler DPS has fallen off the charts, leaving them without any real substitute for their talismans, and the ones added in the previous patch were not really exciting, nor very good. In this patch we are offering Brawler two new talismans which could open a new playstyle to both Tank and DPS.

Rampage

  • This skill now scales with attack speed

Talismans

Muda Muda Muda & Ora Ora Ora

  • The damage boost provided by these two talismans has been adjusted from 0.2% per stack to 0.4%

[NEW] Ultimate Assault

  • Rampage critical strike is now guaranteed. Damage increased by 25% and cast speed by 30%. Casting Rhythmic Blows increases Rampage damage by an additional 10%, up to 5 times

[NEW] Quickpunch

  • One-Inch Punch damage increased by 20%. On a successful hit of One-Inch Punch increases all of your Haymakers cast speed by 50% for the next 6 seconds.

Gunner

For a while now gunners primary skill Burst Fire has not seen a lot of love and would often have a low priority despite being one of their core skills. In this update we're trying to give it a push, as well as an alternative Skill Advanced option focusing more around it. In addition we want to bring some more life and viability back to mana missiles playstyle. Due to this we will be preemptively nerfing them to compensate. In addition we're removing the "Overcharge" passive as it limits gameplay options and isn't very interactive.

Global

  • Nerfed damage by roughly 3%

Modular Weapon System

  • Now also activates Glyph of the Swift

Burst Fire / Targeting Burst Fire

  • Increased base damage by 50%
  • Removed "Overcharge" passive

Fire

  • Changed from 15% mana missiles damage to 30%
  • Now additionally makes Detonate reduce cooldown of Dashing Reload further

Weak Point

  • Renamed to "Focus Point" with the following effect:
    • Allows Burst Fire to stack an additional 2 times ( 200% )
    • Burst fire no longer reduces cooldown of Balder's Vengance
    • Balder's Vengance cooldown is reduced by 30%

Talisman

With the introduction of more Talisman, we now feel comfortable reducing the duration again on these, meaning those who want to focus on Burst Fire will need to actually focus on it, and not get free uptime. In the future we will see more talisman options that allow for "Burst Fire Free" gameplay.

Overloaded Barrage / Amplified Transfer

  • Reduced stack duration from 24 seconds to 16

Charged detonation

  • Reduced cooldown malus from 900% to 425%
  • Reduced damage from 700% to 450%
  • Increased crit chance from 70% to guaranteed critical hit

Heavy Payload

  • Increased crit chance malus from -70% to -90%
  • Increased damage from 200% to 300%

Arcane Focus

  • Increased damage from 10% to 35%
  • Reduced crit chance from 20% to -15%

Triple Roll

  • Now additionally increases damage of Mana Missiles by 6% for each roll, up to 18%

[NEW] Big Pockets

  • Doubles willpower and increases willpower gained from Replenishment by 50

[NEW] Energy Efficiency

  • Reduces willpower of Burst Fire by 20

Lancer

For lancer, we prepared a serie of QoL adjustments, on top of two new talismans. It's no secret that learning how to tank in this game can be difficult, so we opted for a talisman which should help out on this process, and possibly help veteran players aswell in learning our future custom content.

Core Gameplay

Onslaught

  • The damage has been equally redistributed among all hits

Adrenaline Rush (Strenuous & Change of Strategy)

  • Now resets cooldowns of Wallop and Super Leap

Talismans

Now that there are more options around, we are going to slightly buff back Shield Mastery, as its previous nerf led to a weird Wallop cooldown

Shield Mastery

  • The propulsion effect during Adrenaline Rush has been increased from 0.69s to 0.75s

Leaping Fury

  • Fixed an issue where the talisman would not work while using Onslaught Fury

[NEW] Ground Hammer

  • Wallop damage increased by 25%. Every 3 hits, your next Wallop damage is increased by 100%

[NEW] Beginner Friendly

  • Increases maximum RE by 1000, skill damage by 2.5%, aggro generated by 25% and reduces damage taken by 10%

Mystic

For this update, we opted for two talismans enhancing Arunic Release. These two effects were highly requested by our Mystic community and we hope you will enjoy them. We were working on something more complex initially, which was also something very requested by our community, but unfortunately some issues came out and we could not get them solved just yet. We hope to be able to bring this as a surprise in the near future.

Arun's Vitae & Arun's Tear

  • Applied some internal adjustments to possibly avoid the issue of motes spawn being delayed after being affected by Edict of Judgment
    • Note: we are not 100% sure if this will fix the issue, if it still happens please open a bug report

[NEW] Blessed Detonation

  • Arunic Release no longer provides healing overtime, but instantly heals all allies hit

[NEW] Enhanced Detonation

  • Arunic Release range increased by 40%

Ninja

In this update we are going to tune down the class and rebalance the gap between melee and ranged builds. After our last patch, ranged Ninja has been overperforming, so we are going to nerf Gale Force to both tune down Ninja topscores and close the gap between Ranged and Melee playstyles, while also reducing the power of some of the generic outperforming talisman. Lastly, we are releasing two new talismans which should open up new playstyles around Fire Avalanche and Circle of Steel

Fire Avalanche

  • No longer costs Chi
    • Note: this will not particularly affect your gameplay unless you use our new talisman

Gale Force

  • The damage increase for Leaves on the Wind has been decreased from 100% to 65% if under the effect of Inner Harmony

Embers Fury

  • Reduced damage per stack from 2.5% to 1.5%

Inferno Touch

  • Reduced damage of Burning Heart from 40% to 35%

Kage Bunshin no Jutsu

  • Reduced damage from 8.5% to 5%

Chi Focus

  • Reduced duration from 10.5 seconds to 6 seconds
  • Reduced damage from 30% to 14%

[NEW] Slab Avalanche

  • Fire Avalanche cooldown decreased by 35% and damage increased by 100%

[NEW] Steel Savagery

  • Circle of Steel cooldown decreased by 0.5s on a successful hit of Skyfall. Every 2 Circle of Steel casts, your next one deals 100% more damage

Priest

Similarly to Mystic, we are releasing two talismans mostly requested by the community and. We, again, encountered some issues while working on some more complex options and we couldn't get them fixed in time. We hope to be able to bring this as a surprise in the near future. We also slightly reworked Echo of Renewal in a way it will provide the same result but in a different way, as we noticed its current implementation was not working properly.

Echo of Renewal

  • Now increases duration of Restorative Burst by 40%, rather than increasing its healing

[NEW] Blessed Purification

  • Purifying Circle applies Devoted Favor to all allies and increases caster's movement speed by 35

[NEW] Insighted Guardian

  • Guardian Sanctuary no longer has a cast animation

Reaper

We received various feedbacks about Reaper talismans not feeling too great, and the gameplay still lacking on smoothness. For this patch, we adjusted various talismans to feel better to use and smoothen up Reaper gameplay as a whole with some simple but effective adjustments, as requested by our Reaper Community. We are also aware about the fact Reaper has not been performing too well lately but, similarly to Archer, we'll wait one more patch to see how the class performs with these new adjustments.

Shadow Burst

  • Now applies Swift Cable Step glyph on hit

Shadow Lash

  • Can now be chained after Grim Strike, with a greatly increased animation speed.

Shrouded Escape

  • Reduced cooldown by 3 seconds

Talismans

As previously mentioned, we are bringing some more power to some currently existing talismans, as they were feeling underwhelming

[Reworked] Reaping Fury

  • Dark Harvest now increases damage of all of your Sundering Strikes and Shadow Bursts by 12.5% for 3 seconds.

Pendulum's Rage

  • Fixed an issue where the Whipsaw damage buff would apply only for the very first hit
  • Now increases damage of Whipsaw by 150% rather than 75%, and it's no longer dependant on Pendulum's Strike hit

Rusty Cage

  • Damage increased from 4% to 8%

[NEW] Souls Harvester

  • Recall Scythes increases damage of Grim Strike and Whipsaw by 1% for 18 seconds, up to 30 times

[NEW] Powerlink Scythes

  • Grim Strike damage reduced by 5%. Powerlink Death Spiral and Powerlink Double Shear, which increases damage of Grim Strike, duration is increased by 4 times

Slayer

As mentioned in our last patch, we needed one more update to bring more power to non-Blade Momentum builds. If you enjoy more playing Slayer with the OG Propulsion, this is your time! Hope you will enjoy our improved Propulsion gameplay. We also adjusted Ruthless Will, as the Slayer Community really disliked it. We are aware this might be a nerf but, similarly to other classes, we want to see how Slayer will perform after the update.

Propulsion

  • Now also reduces Eviscerate cooldown by 1s on successful hit of Overhand Strike
  • Now also reduces Fury Strike cooldown by 2s on a successful Measured Slice hit
    • Note: reminder that these effects do not apply while using Blade Momentum

Fury Strike

  • Added to all Savage Strike chains
  • Can now be chained from Punishing Blow and Measured Slice
  • Can now chain into Eviscerate

Whirlwind

  • Now also applies Piercing Thrust

Talismans

Blade Momentum

  • No longer provides 6.5% increased damage
    • Slayer base damage has been increased by 6.5% as compensation
      • Note: this means your damage will not change if you use this talisman, but players not using it will receive a buff

Spiraling Wraith

  • Whirlwind speed has been adjusted to match regular Whirlwind skill length

[Reworked] Blood Instinct

  • Increases Unsheathe damage by 12% on a successful hit of Fury Strike, Measured Slice and Punishing Blow, up to 12 times. Hitting a target with a fully charged Unsheathe increases all skills damage by 10% for 10 seconds. This talisman effect does not stack with Blade Momentum and Sudden Draw

[Reworked] Ruthless Will

  • Renamed to Over 9-Thousand
  • Overpower now increases skill damage by 25% and guarantees critical hits for 4 seconds every 14 seconds
    • Note: a visual effect will apply to your character whenever this buff is applied and a cooldown indicator will appear after the first proc

[NEW] Spinning Fury

  • Whirlwind increases skill damage of Fury Strike by 45% on every successful hit, up to 4 times.

[NEW] Spinning Will

  • Measured Slice increases skill damage of Whirlwind by 8% on every successful hit, up to 5 times.

Sorcerer

In this update, we are offering a different playstyle resolving more around spamming ultimates and something more creative, which we hope our Community will like. We also adjusted Arcane Mastery, same way as we did to Berserker Iron Pact and Cleave Drive, to feel less of a must use and improve build flexibility. We are also going to slightly tune down the class: despite Sorcerer not being as strong as Ninja or Valkyrie, it has been performing better than most of the existing roster.

Arcane Mastery

  • The damage increase has been reduced from 10% to 3.8%
    • Sorcerer base damage has been increased by 6.2% as compensation
      • Note: this means your damage will not change if you use this talisman, but players not using it will receive a buff

Tactical Retreat Blazing Force

  • Fixed an issue where the talisman name was incorrect, the correct name is Blazing Force

[NEW] Tactical Warp

  • Warp Barrier cooldown increased by 20%. On cast provides two elements and resets cooldown of Fusion Skills. During Mana Boost, it provides three elements.

[NEW] Sudden Impact

  • Decrease Implosion cooldown by 35% and increases damage by 100%. This talisman effect doesn't stack with Big Bang

Valkyrie

After our previous patch, Valkyrie landed in a very strong state. We are going to adjust two of their main used talismans, similarly as Ninja, to tune the class down: we feel like Piercing Bite has been just another stats bloat talisman, so we decided to adjust it. This adjustment should make it easier for new players to pick up the class, while also allowing for more skill expression for more skilled players. Lastly, we are also implementing two new talismans to promote Leaping Slash playstyle

[Reworked] Piercing Bite

  • Now provides 13% attack speed during Ragnarok and Godsfall rather than 25% damage
  • Now provides 10% damage outside of Ragnarok and Godsfall rather than 15% attack speed

Glaive Continuum

  • Reduced damage from 10% to 5%

Enchanted Sharpshooter

  • Applied various internal fixes to avoid any possible exploitability

[NEW] Leaping Powerlink

  • Leaping Slash damage increased by 35% after a successful hit of Dreamslash, Gungnir Bite and Backstab. Stacks separately

[NEW] A Thousand Leaps

  • Leaping Slash damage increased by 100% after 6 successful hits

Warrior

In the previous update, we implemented two new talismans focusing more on Blade Draw and Aerial Scythe gameplay. Sadly this was not enough to overcome the meta playstyle involving Relentless Assault, which not only provides more damage due to the possiblity of using Enrage top weapon roll, but also smoother to play due the propulsion effect. In this patch, we are going to apply various adjustments to make non-Relentless Assault builds comparable in damage and with a more fluid gameplay, as well as some QoL adjustments.

Core Gameplay

Evasive Roll (Glyph of the Swift)

  • The Attack Speed buff is now guaranteed to proc on the third Evasive Roll cast

Blade Frenzy

  • Reduced cooldown by 15 seconds

Talismans

Perfect Parry

  • Now also increases crit chance of Blade Draw by 100%

Sacrifice of Power

  • Reduced damage from 1.5% per stack to 1%
  • Reduced max stacks from 15 to 7
  • Stacks can now refresh

[Reworked] Cruel Reaping

  • Increases damage of Scythe by 13% for 15 seconds after using Evasive Roll

Precision Cut

  • Now also increases Blade Draw cast speed by 20%

Relentless Assault

  • Reduced damage by 5%
    • Increased Warrior base damage by 5% as compensation
      • Note: this means your damage will stay unchange if you use this talisman, but players not using it will receive a buff

[NEW] Stridebreaker

  • While in combat, decreases melee skills cooldowns by 10%. Increases HP cost of Combative Strike by 3 times

[NEW] Blade Dancer

  • Blade Draw damage increased by 2.5% on each successful hit, up to 25 times. Each cast of Rain of Blows decreases its own damage by 5%, up to 10 times, for 4 seconds. This talisman effect cannot stack with Edge of Bloodshed

PvP Content

We have applied various adjustments to the PvP rewards, which should hopefully help in self sustaining the Agaia Club membership while waiting for patch 1.3. We also introduced the new 5vs5 team-deathmatch battleground, as highly requested by our Community: initially, the battleground was not working properly; it had to be fixed and some extra adjustments applied, to ensure its fully functionality.

New Battleground: Champion's Arena

Champion's Arena is a 5vs5 team deathmatch battleground, taking place in a bigger version of the map Champion's Skyring. The goal is simple: fight your opponents! The team who reaches 15 kills first wins.

  • Format: 5 vs 5
  • Healers: 1 per team
  • Tanks: 0~1 per team
  • Respawn timer: 3 seconds
  • Points: 100 per kill
  • Maximum points per win: 1500

Spawn-Camping:

  • After the start of the battle, players standing in any base for longer than 12 seconds have their stats heavily reduced.
    • This does not apply during preparation round

Loser Buff:

  • The team down of six kills will obtain the Loser Buff, increasing their Power, Endurance and HP slightly
  • The buff perists for two kills

Grievous Wounds:

  • 7 minutes after the start, if no team has won yet, every player in the battlefield will have their healing heavily reduced
    • This effect does not apply to healers self healing skills

Mark-V Brooch

  • Healers have access to a special brooch. On usage, provides immunity to any kind of CC for 3 seconds, on a 45 seconds cooldown
    • The Brooch can be acquired by Chroas NPC or from [PvP] Eternal Tokens and can only be used by healers in Champion's Arena

Unique Class Balancing:

  • All the existing adjustments applied in Champion's Skyring are also applied in Champion's Arena. Various classes have received some adjustments to ensure a fair playground:
    • All classes mana restoration is greatly increased
    • Healers damage taken is reduced by an additional 5% compared to Champion's Skyring
    • Ranged classes Ultimates deal 10% reduced damage
    • Warrior Blade Frenzy has 35% more cooldown reduction
    • Slayer Unsheathe deals 5% reduced damage but no longer splits
    • Ninja damage during Inner Harmony is reduced by 15% and its duration reduced by 5 seconds. Harmonious Fire Avalanche damage is reduced by an additional 15%. All other classes deal 10% reduced damage during their self buffs.
    • Valkyrie Titans Bane has 10% more cooldown reduction. Overhead Slash has an increased chance to apply stun on multiple targets

Leaderboards

  • Added Champion's Arena Leaderboard
    • Similar rewards to Gridiron Leaderboard
    • Leaderboard titles are the following:
      • Rank 1: Killing Spree
      • Rank 2-3: Battle Scarred

PvP Vanguards

  • Astrum Coins rewards have been increased for all Battleground Vanguards

PvP Guild BAMs

  • Astrum Coins rewards have been increased to match PvE Guild Bams

Civil Unrest

  • Astrum Coins rewards have been increased as follows:
    • Rank 1: 4k
    • Rank 2: 3k
    • Rank 3: 2k
    • Rank 4: 1k

Island of Dawn

  • Surge rune damage increased by 40%
  • Carrion type monsters damage decreased by 30%
  • Slightly reduced KD/Stagger rate and attack speed of Brutal BAM
  • Greatly increased Fury Hunter potion balance stat
  • Astrum Coin boxes dropped by rare monsters and boss monsters now give 100~1000 Astrum Coins
  • Caimans now drop Prime HP potions and new motes when killed
  • Greatly reduced boss monsters and rare monsters spawn delays after a server restart
  • The Brutal BAM vanguard kill count now works correctly in parties rather than counting for one kill at a time
  • Fixed an issue where the teleport section for Tainted Gorge Outpost would not appear

Other Changes

  • Training Ground Clawrider stats have been adjusted to match endgame dungeons
  • Added a new Merchant to Training Ground which sells [Training Ground] Lein's Dark Root Beer for 1 copper
  • All Talismans tooltips have been reviewed to make them more clear and remove any possible typos
  • Adjusted loot of old Talisman Box and brought back to all dungeons loot.
    • Note: the Talisman Box implemented on patch 1.2.1 will not have its loot adjusted and will not drop anywhere anymore. Their name will be Talisman Box II
  • Increased duration of Hot and Salty Fish Buffets from 15 minutes to 30
  • Increased guild size limit to 50 players
  • Added a new guild skill to increase guild size to up to 60
  • Fixed an issue where the talismans released in our previous patch were not searchable on broker by their exact name
  • Fixed an issue where Gunners had 20 more achievement points available to be obtained
  • Fixed an issue where three battleground achievements still counted towards eligible points
