Dungeon Changes

All the currently existing dungeons (almost) will close their doors to give room to a brand new dungeon rotation. For this rotation, we decided to separate the dungeons into two types: Type A and Type C. All Type A dungeons will be available every day at cost of Adventure Coins, while all Type C dungeons will be available only on Weekends with limited amount of daily entries. The Type C dungeons have various intentions behind them, significantly increased rewards (value for your time), bringing back the old iconic feel of TERA while still keeping the difficulty up, letting people get a burst of progress for their limited time during the weekend. We know this system will need to be revised across several patches to match what it's meant to achieve so please let us know how these dungeons and their rewards feel and what we can do to make your experience better. Opening on Saturday 00:01; Closing on Sunday 23:59.

Low Tier Dungeons

  • [Type A] Ruinous Manor
  • [Type A] Lilith's Keep
  • [Type C] Shattered Fleet

Mid Tier Dungeons

  • [Type A] Fusion Laboratory
  • [Type A] Lumikan's Dream
  • [Type C] Ruinous Manor (Hard)
  • [Type C] Lilith's Keep (Hard)

High Tier Dungeons

  • [Type A] Cursed Fusion Laboratory
  • [Type A] Lumikan's Dream (Hard)
  • [Type C] Bahaar's Sanctum

Top Tier

These dungeons are aimed for endgame players and have a limited amount of daily entries

  • Bahaar's Sanctum (HM)

    • A new version of Bahaar, extremely challenging with new patterns, mechanics and high stats has been prepared for the big challengers that are ready to give their best and stay resilient as they tackle this new challenge.
  • The Dreadspire: Upper Levels

    • We still need a bit more time to finalize The Dreadspire. The dungeon will come at a later date.

"Solo Content"

We hope to provide a comfortable place for all types of players. Whether you like to group up and grind or tackle the content by yourself; there will be something for you. You will find that ACE and Guardian credits have been reset to account for the new shop.

Celestial Arena

  • The rewards have been adjusted.
  • You should now be able to enter, have fun for a short while and be rewarded with enchanting materials.
  • After you complete the instance you will receive a token which you can use to pick the reward fitting for where you want to progress

ACE Dungeons

  • ACE dungeons have had their loot and vanguards adjusted to better appreciate the time of solo players, while this will affect both player groups we decided to give a more stable experience to the solo bunch.
  • Every time you clear the ACE dungeon you will receive a set of ACE tokens. Use the ACE token shop to purchase the new boxes, appropriate for where you want to progress

Guardians

  • While known as "boring" and "long" the guardians should now properly reward you for your time, not just with gold but as a consistent and reliable source of materials.
  • Compete and participate in guardian missions, claim boxes and visit the Guardians merchant in Velika to pick out the reward that fits your level of progress

Daily Dungeons

We wanted to bring a "slightly new" idea to the table, so alongside Ghillieglades you will now be able to team up with your bestie or up to 4 other players and go tackle a small swarm of mobs for a bundle of rewards that we will work on over time. Amount of rewards is fixed and won't change based off of party member count.

  • Azart Hatchery will now have a new instance, entrance located inside of Exodor. You can find the teleportal to exodor in highwatch and the entry to Azart Hatchery will be in the Exodor area.
    • We will further add a teleport scroll to the new teleportal on the next patch!

Class Changes

In this update, we will keep stuff simple (for the most part), as we are opening up new content. We will just push some adjustments to some obvious overpower/underpower cases, aswell as the promised Valkyrie adjustments.

Archer

While not necessarly too weak, Archer has the issue of having extremely low damage outside of burst, making it too reliant on ending at a very precisice time. We are going to adjust some talismans to offer more sustained damage, without buffing its already strong burst damage.

Piercing Precision

  • Now also increases Gust Arrow damage by 45%

Precision Aim

  • Now also increases Radiant Arrow damage by 10%

Strong Wind

  • The 70% damage buff for Rapid Fire now also works outside of Windsong

Silent Wind

  • Now also increases Rain of Arrows damage by 25%

Berserker (DPS)

Despite our best efforts into tuning down the class DPS on the previous patch, it was still not enough, and players figured out new ways to push their DPS to the extreme, by abusing an unitended interaction. We will fix this, aswell as tuning down the class.

Global

  • Reduced damage by 10% while not affected by Intimidation

Severance Spiral

  • Reduced damage of Cyclone from 25% to 10%

Long Forgotten Dream

  • Cyclone resets are guaranteed only if the skill has been fully charged

Adaptive Axe

  • No longer reduces Cyclone damage by 5%

Brawler (Tank & DPS)

Brawler has been still underperforming. We are going to tune the class damage up slightly

Global

  • Increased damage by 4%

Mystic

Some of Mystic DPS talismans feel a bit awkward to use due their low buff duration. We are increasing this slightly to match other talismans, while also adjusting Dual Pulse: back on release patch, we released two talismans for healers, reducing healing of their main skill while also buffing their damage, but Boomerang Pulse is not really comparable to Holy Burst.

Empowered & Echoing Smite

  • Increased stacks duration from 12 to 15 seconds

Dual Pulse

  • Reduced healing malus from -45% to -30%
  • Increased damage from 15% to 35%

Ninja

After our mini-rework, Ninja has been overperforming compared to most classes, although less than Berserker. We are tuning the class down aswell. We are also fixing an issue with a talisman not working properly inside Inner Harmony.

Global

  • Reduced damage by 4%

Quick Thrust

  • Fixed an issue where the talisman effects would not apply properly during Inner harmony

Reaper

In a previous update, we slightly reduced the cooldown of Shrouded Escape to make it sync better with Shadow Reaping. Unfortunately this was not enough still, so we are reducing its cooldown just a bit more.

Shrouded Escape

  • Reduced cooldown from 87 to 85 seconds

Sorcerer

Despite our efforts to bring Sorcerer in pair with the rest of the roster, the class somehow ends up not performing as we'd expect. We are going to apply a couple of adjustments to give the class the power they deserve, aswell as tuning down slightly the reworked Hail Storm skill advanced

Global

  • Increased damage by 4%

Hail Storm (Cold Wave)

  • Reduced ramp up damage from 10% to 7%

Meteor Strike

  • Increased damage during Mana Boost by 20%

Arcane Pulse

  • Increased innate crit multiplier from 1.4 to 1.5 times

Valkyrie

In this update, we are going to separate Sigil of Battle and Dawn of Fury in two different playstyle, as highly requested by the community. We are also bringing various adjustments to a lot more talismans which were previously underwhelming or borderline useless.

Windslash

  • Increased PvE base damage by 200%

Bloodflower

  • Increased PvE base damage by 125%

Sigil of Battle

  • Reduced damage from 7.5% to 5.5%
  • Reduced cooldown malus from +20% to +15%
  • No longer stacks with Dawn of Fury

Eternal Ragnarok

  • Increased duration from 15% to 25%

[Reworked] Shielded Strike

  • Renamed into Specialized Bash
  • Now increases Ground Bash damage by 25%

Rune Echo

  • No longer gain stacks from Runeburst
  • Now gain stacks from any melee skill hit, up to one stack per skill use
  • Reduced damage per stack from 2.3% to 1.9%

Glaive Continuum

  • The chaining effect now works same way as Leaping Slash > Ground Bash/Glaive Strike chains
  • Increased Ground Bash and Glaive Strike damage from 5% to 15%

Magnificent Slash

  • Increased damage from 30% to 50%
  • Now also increases runemark generated from Leaping Slash and Ground Bash by 1

[Reworked] Leaping Powerlink

  • Renamed into Leaping Bash
  • Now increases damage of Ground Bash by 40% after using Leaping Slash

[Reworked] A Thousand Leaps

  • Renamed into Leaping Strike
  • Now increases damage of Glaive Strike by 65% after using Leaping Slash

PvP Changes

In this patch, we are going to apply some fixes to Civil Unrest, aswell as introducing a new battleground while closing two that were no longer active. We also applied some adjustments to PvP vanguards and Battleground Rewards. This is not exactly what was sneaky peaked in the Q&A stream, but we need a bit more time to set up the new system.

Civil Unrest

  • Fixed an issue where Argentus reward would be lower than intended
  • Reduced defense of Lavathus, Drahkan and Kaithan by 50%, and their crit resistance by 35%
  • Due DST time changes, CU opening time and Argentus spawn time and CU start time were moved up by one hour

Battlegrounds

  • Closed Corsair's Stronghold
  • Closed Gridiron
  • Opened Kaia's Endless Fight

Kaia's Endless Fight

This battleground is a 10 vs 10 team elimination fight. The team with the most players alive by the end of the timer wins.

  • Format: 10 vs 10
  • Healers: 3 per team
  • Tanks: 1~2 per team
  • Respawn: no respawns
  • After winning 2 games, players will be awarded a Talisman Box
  • After losing 3 games, players will be awarded a Talisman Box

Shorehold

  • Increased Vanguard Request gold reward from 450 to 900 and added a Talisman Box
  • After winning 3 games, players will be awarded an additional Talisman Box
  • After losing 2 games, players will be awarded a Talisman Box

Champion's Arena

  • After winning 3 games, players will be awarded an additional Talisman Box
  • After losing 2 games, players will be awarded a Talisman Box

Champion's Skyring

  • After winning 2 games, players will be awarded a Talisman Box
  • After losing 3 games, players will be awarded a Talisman Box

Leaderboards

  • Removed Corsair's Stronghold and Gridiron Leaderboards

  • Fixed an issue where Champion's Arena leaderboard was not displayed

Pending(Incoming) Changes

While we tried to polish and push as much as we could there are still some things that will be slowly released over the next 2 weeks that will help complete the system.

PvP rewards

The PvP rewards will slowly be tuned over time, we hope to have a better fitting reward system as time goes on but for now we opted for a safer and smaller reward than what we have in mind long term. (ETA: 7-10 days | 1.3.0 Hotfix or 1.3.1)

Daily Rewards

We need to iron a few systems out so we will release the daily quests during the ( or one of the ) hotfix after the initial player feedback. (ETA: 3-5 days | 1.3.0 Hotfix)

ALT System

Similar to Daily rewards the ALT system relies on the new backend infrastructure which still isn't ready for deployment. We will release the ALT system alongside a slightly better explanation about it at a later date. (ETA: 5-10 dyas | 1.3.0 Hotfix or 1.3.1)

Dreadspire

We didn't want to ship something which wouldn't meet our quality standards. For this reasons we pushed back the release of DSU until we are happy with what it brings to the game. (ETA: 2-4 weeks | 1.3.1 or 1.3.2)

Events Schedule

We will release a partial (enough to know what's coming next) Schedule however the long term schedule will come once the patch settles and we see the acceptance rate as well as the overall player activity.
